From an early age I was physically active and competitive. I have always had a fascination for strength and muscle. I was a competitive cheerleader for 9 years. Being part of a stunt team, having structure and discipline is what I most looked forward to. After college I entered a demanding career and stopped being active for nearly 15 years. In that time I developed chronic neck, back and hip pain. On top of that, I had battled anxiety and depression for many years. But I set all of those issues aside as I was so focused on creating a successful career that I neglected to take of myself and my well-being for too long. In 2016 I had enough, so I hired a movement coach. I didn’t know it at the time but that was a pivotal moment for me. After a few months of working together, I was sitting, standing and walking without pain for the first time in years. It wasn’t until I was out of pain that I realized how much pain I was actually tolerating previously and I also started feeling happy again. I felt so good that at 37 years of age, I decided to hire a personal trainer so that I could work towards a dream I had growing up; to become a bodybuilder. Within 1 year I learned how to manage my anxiety and depression, grew stronger than I ever was before, developed the most muscular physique I’ve ever had and stepped on stage to compete in my first bikini competition. The entire process was incredible. I had never felt so good, so pretty and so confident in my own skin! Feeling that good is now a lifestyle for me and is how I want others to feel. Playing a role in helping others transform into the best version of themselves is my intent. In order to get there, the journey for each client will encompass mental and physical growth. The process will require a client’s personal commitment, self-motivation and a strong ‘why’. If a client wants change for themselves bad enough, they will make the changes necessary to obtain it. That’s where I come in.
My Coaching Style
I will provide the roadmap for each of my clients via individualized nutritional guidance and tailored workouts plans. I will hold my clients accountable to their goals and push them outside of their comfort zones. I am a straight shooter; therefore, I will be direct, up front and honest with each client. I will provide feedback and support along the way. I am a firm believer in ‘look good, feel good’ but this starts from the inside. I enjoy working with clients who want to achieve greatness and are willing to put in the time and work needed to obtain it. When I encounter questions that I do not know the answers to, I will research and/or consult with my fellow Atlas team members. As a team, we will achieve incredible nutrition, fitness and mindset transformations together. Let’s get to work!
