For as far back as I can remember fitness has been my vice; I played organized sports from age 3-25 and when my body could no longer endure the abuse of full contact activities I felt lost. I was already a regular at the gym but without anything specific to train for I found myself unmotivated and very inconsistent; This was the first time in my life I realized not only did I enjoy physical fitness but truly wasn’t myself without it. I recognized that when I had a specific goal or event to train for I was far more motivated and yielded much better results. Obstacle course races became my go-to for the following 4-5 years because the obstacles gave me the physical challenge I desired while the running pushed my endurance to levels I never thought possible. After years of racing all over the country I again started feeling unmotivated, I had reached a plateau with my fitness and decided I needed another change; hello bodybuilding. When I decided to compete in my first bodybuilding show even the word “bodybuilding” made me uncomfortable, I couldn’t be a bodybuilder, those guys are all monsters and I’m just a washed up athlete trying to stay in shape! But taking that huge step outside of my comfort zone ended up opening an entire world of health and fitness I hadn’t even known existed, I gained a wealth of knowledge in proper dieting and what consistency over extended periods of time can provide and as a coach this is exactly what I hope to pass on to my clients.
Why I Love Coaching:
I love coaching because I love seeing people succeed, it really is that simple. Fitness has given me so much and I feel honored to have the opportunity to provide the same experiences for others. It is my belief that to succeed as a coach you need an ability to read different personalities and character traits in order to communicate effectively to individuals from all different walks of life and I take this belief very seriously.
My Coaching Style
Accountability is the cornerstone of my coaching style, if we want real change and real results that are going to be sustainable for the long run we need to hold ourselves accountable. I am positive and supportive, I understand life happens and we’re all human but my job is to help you navigate through the hectic waters of the real world while maintaining an inward focus. Together we will rebuild your entire mindset to support all of your goals; both inside and outside of the gym.
