My story:
Being active has been a priority in my life for as long as I can remember; however, the gym hasn’t always been a part of my life. My passion for staying active started with dance. I started dance when I was two years old to help me develop balance and coordination, but stuck with it all throughout high school. During that time, I also competed in track in field and played basketball during high school. I knew then that I was passionate about staying active, but it wasn’t until I left the structure of high school sports that I found my true passion: bodybuilding. After falling prey to the typical college lifestyle, I wasn’t comfortable with who I saw in the mirror. My priorities were all wrong, my mental health was a wreck, and my self-esteem was at an all time low. It was at this point that I decided to take control of my own perspective and started working as a membership consultant at a gym in my hometown. This changed my life. After seeing the way that trainers made a difference in the lives of their clients, I decided to become a trainer. While this was a great outlet for my love of working out, I knew something was missing: competition. I was approached by one of the trainers at my gym about competing and decided to give it a go. After my first competition, I fell in love with the sport and haven’t looked back since. Once I discovered my passion for fitness and helping others along their own individual journeys, I abandoned my original goal of becoming a lawyer and decided to fully commit to helping others on their transformational journeys, both physically and mentally!

Why I love coaching:

In my experience, when people look good, they feel even better. Being a coach has allowed me to take part in the transformation that happens when people fully commit to themselves and strive for more. Before I was a coach, I thought that I was passionate about fitness and the idea of taking continual steps to improve yourself mentally and physically, but since becoming a coach, I had no idea just how passionate I am. To me, there is nothing more special than seeing someone start to believe in themselves and to hear someone say that they are proud of themselves. I love experiencing every aspect of the journey alongside my clients, both at the peaks of the journey and the valleys. I feel so honored and humbled to be able to play a role in transformations. Coaching is something that makes my heart full and ignites a passion inside me and I love being able to share my knowledge and advice with those around me.

My coaching style:

I’m an all-in kind of gal. I push my clients to be and do their best and expect nothing less from them. That being said, I’m understanding of struggles and obstacles because this whole thing is a process. There will be growing pains, but as long as my clients believe in themselves and trust in the process, I will do the same. Expect to be challenged, pushed, encouraged, and above all else, supported. I strive to make sure that all my clients feel attended to and that they feel as though their needs and goals are being met. My biggest requirement is commitment to yourself and the program. Effort is what matters to me. I want to make sure that the changes we are making as a team are changes that stick around. This isn’t just about attaining short-term goals; I coach to create habits that will last a lifetime. In order to be successful together, I only ask that my clients realize the importance of communication. Being honest and open allows for the greatest chance of success and although it can seem scary to admit when things aren’t going according to plan, honesty allows me to adjust to make this whole process enjoyable, rather than sacrificial. We are a TEAM and I strive to create an environment that breeds success, no matter what the timeline or goals. Most of my experience pertains to lifestyle clients, but I have plenty of experience in the bodybuilding world and am also constantly working to add to my arsenal of knowledge as a coach. I can’t wait to get started on your goals together and introduce you to the Atlas Nutrition family! Let’s get this ball rolling and take the first step toward investing in yourself!
